Her portrayal of Sita in Sri Rama Rajyam (2011) earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Actress and the Nandi Award for Best Actress in Telugu. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress for her performance in Raja Rani (2013) and Naanum Rowdy dhan (2015). In 2017, she was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Malayalam Actress for her performance in Puthiya Niyamam (2016).
Nayanthara was born on 18th November 1984 to Malayali parents who hail from Tiruvalla, Kerala. She has a younger brother. Nayanthara did her schooling in Gujarat and Delhi. She studied at Balikamadom Girls Higher Secondary School, Tiruvalla and then attended Marthoma College, Thiruvalla for her bachelor’s degree in English Literature.
Nayanthara’s second breakthrough role came in Billa with Ajith Kumar. She never looked back after this. Post 2012, Nayanthara started shining even brighter. We must call her ‘the golden actress’.
