Bahubali vs Simon Birch, a Story of a Movie Poster

In the whole cinema industry, it is the movie poster designers who have the least scope to shine as there is more than few millions of posters around the world. But the similarity of posters in India with Hollywood, French and Korean doesn’t look accidental. Some are mere coincidence and a majority is not.

SS Rajamauli’s Bahubali is an epic film to be released in the month of July, 2015. It is in making for around three years. The project is touted to be the most expensive film being produced ever in the history of Indian cinema. This film or the plot is in noway relates to the ‘Simon Birch’. Simon Birch is an English language movie released in 1998 and it is directed by Mark Steven Johnson. It is a comedy-drama based on the novel ‘A Prayer for Owen Meany’ by John Irving. Anyway, the posters have huge resemblance. Coincidence.

Bahubali might be about a warrior’s birth to his growth to the top of the world and the grand poster just have that epicness, that lavish-scale feel which is perfectly fitting for the movie.
