Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, delves into the life of the unsung hero and freedom fighter, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, born in Uyyalawada, fought against British oppression in 1846. Directed by Surendhar Reddy, the story is crafted by the acclaimed Paruchuri Brothers.

Mega Star, Mega Budget

Ram Charan Teja, the producer, has allocated a whopping budget of Rs. 200 crore for the project, which will be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil, later dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam.

A Star-Studded Cast

The film boasts a stellar cast featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathi, Sudeep, and Nayanthara, along with supporting actors such as Pragya Jaiswal, Jagapathi Babu, and others.

Noteworthy Collaborations

Oscar-winning music director AR Rahman joins hands with Chiranjeevi for the first time, and costume designer Anju Modi, known for her work in Bajirao Mastani and Ram Leela, is also part of the team.

Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy’s Legacy

Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, a pioneering freedom fighter, commanded 66 villages and an army of 2000 men. His revolt against the British began in 1846, a decade before India’s First War of Independence in 1857. He was arrested after a major attack on British forces. And he was sentenced to death, and publicly hanged on February 22, 1847, in Koilkuntla.
