Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela Review

A well-made film can make it’s viewers feel the way it wants them to, Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela puts a new ray of light on it’s subject and successfully takes the audience through the film. I do not intend to give spoilers but the film tackles with a very serious subject in humorous way, in a very natural way. The film, fortunately is a ‘cliche-free’ one. It has got a soulful story and a well written script, the film will be a perfect watch with family in the holiday season. Even though the term is over used nowadays, Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela is a true feel good film!

Althaf Salim has proved that he is a good filmmaker with his debut film itself. He has co-written the film with George Kora. The narration of the film comparatively different from the other family dramas. The director and writer deserves a pat on their shoulders for breaking a few stereotypes of story telling. Mukesh Muralidharan’s cinematography was really good, the transition shots were excellent. The cuts were also in perfect beats. Music by Justin Varghese was soft and perfect for the situations. Overall Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela won’t look like a debutant’s work. Congratulations to Althaf Salim on that note.

Coming to the cast, Nivin Pauly is not the “hero” of the film, he is one among the other characters and that was an acceptable change. Nivin’s comedy and other emotions worked really well. The actor needs to be appreciated for taking up this project as a producer. The other boys from Premam gang were also perfect for their parts. Ahana Krishnakumar and Srinda did their roles well. Lal as Chacko was very sweet, he will make you feel for him and you would want to calm him down and say its ok. Hope this film will bring a lot more good roles to Shanthi Krishna, she as Sheela Chacko is the backbone of the film. All of us would have come across such a lady in our lives. All the actors were able to create a good chemistry and convince us with the family bonding.

Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela is almost a must watch because it will definitely give you some new ways to look at a major entity on our world. It will put a smile on your face and it will give you hope about life. The movie doesn’t have a “message”ic dialogue or monologue but on a whole it will give you a big message. It is a double thumbs up for this light-hearted yet powerful movie. Once again congratulations to the makers.
